are bespoke and tailored to your own requirements.
Aileen Ironside has 15 years experience in cake decorating and
has been awarded "Best in Show" and "Master Class" certificates. Winner of five national Gold Medal Winner Awards including the most recent 2013 and 2014. New courses.
We will meet with you in a relaxed atmosphere and take as much time
as is required for you to decide upon the perfect cake for your
special day.
If you have a specific design bring along a sketch or, if you would
like some suggestions, we have lots of photos and books to help you make
your decision.
Be it romantic, classical, modern in design, or even related to your
special interests, we can design a cake to fit your theme and colour
scheme. We will happily include the beautiful sugar flowers of your choice
(all hand crafted by our expert decorators), or any other decorations
you may desire, all at very competitive prices.
You can choose from a wide range of flavours for your cake. These include
the ever popular chocolate biscuit cake, traditional fruit cake,
coffee mocha sponge, carrot cake, lemon poppy seed, vanilla and
lemon sponge. All cakes are home made, of course, to well proven
and popular recipes from the best of ingredients. Brides are often tempted
to choose a combination of cakes.
Simply Cakes specialty is lovely wedding cakes, but we also enjoy decorating
novelty, christening and other special occasion cakes.
If you would like your wedding cake delivered to your reception center
then Simply Cakes is more than happy to oblige. Evening and weekend
consultations are available. Consultations are by appointment only.
Please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time. Delivery
of cakes may incur a small fee.
Our workshops are a great way to learn how to make cakes, create your
own sugar designs and improve your overall knowledge of baking.
Courses are always limited to a maximum of 6 participants to ensure
everyone gets personal attention. A great atmosphere is created
each time and no one is rushed.
